　　Architectural style

　　The museum imitated the Jiangnan Qing Dynasty ancestral hall building, the main body is divided into two levels, and the exhibition hall area is 650 square meters. The exhibition hall will concentrate on displaying the real slogans uncovered, and make use of modern acoustooptic and multimedia technology to simulate the scene in which the slogans were written, so as to restore the history of visitors. The Museum has many functions, such as patriotism and revolutionary traditional education, tourist visits, cultural relics collection, academic research and so on.

　　The Red Army slogan Museum in Yanling is unique in architecture, profound in meaning and distinctive in character. It is divided into three floors, mainly including the order hall, eight exhibition halls, VIP rooms, multimedia rooms, conference rooms, office rooms, cultural relics warehouse and so on. The museum displays slogans of the Red Army from October 1927 (First Division of the First Revolutionary Army of Workers and Peasants) to February 1938 (Hunan and Jiangxi guerrillas).

　　The slogan of the Red Army is the epitome of the revolutionary struggle history in the Jinggangshan base area and the Hunan Jiangxi base. The slogans of the Red Army have gone through more than half a century of storms, some of which were replaced or covered shortly after they were written, some of which were denuded, destroyed or dismantled, and only a few of them were left. Yanling county is one of the counties where most Red Army slogans remain. The remaining slogans are characterized by many signatures, long time span, many forms of writing, and wide publicity objects. Its content not only declares the ultimate goal of the revolution, but also combines the vital interests of the workers and peasants; it has both universal guiding significance and obvious local characteristics; it has both strong political character and simple artistic beauty, and it is the precious history of Chinese revolutionary struggle and an important part of Chinese red culture.

　　History of development

　　During the first revolutionary civil war, Yanling county was an important part of Jinggangshan revolutionary base area. In order to arouse the masses to revolutionize, the Red Army of workers and peasants wrote a large number of propaganda slogans in the urban and rural areas of Yanling. There are 151, 339 and 4826 characters in the slogans of the Red Army, which can be distinguished as many as 66. It is one of the most numerous and well-preserved areas in the country.

　　Yanling's Red Army slogans have three distinct characteristics: first, they have a high historical position, which is the first batch of slogans in the process of Chinese revolution under the leadership of the Communist Party of China; second, they are rich in content, and there are many slogans in all revolutionary struggles in Jinggangshan revolutionary base areas; All the troops who participated in the Jinggangshan struggle left behind the slogan of the Red Army.

　　These slogans have been written for more than seven years. They have various forms, including slogans, couplets, poems and even cartoons. Some of them were drawn up by the proletarian revolutionaries such as Mao Zedong, and they are of great historical value.

　　Because of the long history, these slogans attached to the walls of houses are always in danger of peeling off. The building of Yanling Red Army slogans museum is to solve the protection of these precious historical relics of revolution.

　　Protection of cultural relics

　　The Yanling Red Army Museum of slogans remains a large number of Red Army slogans, well preserved and long time span of writing slogans.

　　Yanling Red Army Museum of slogans preserves the first revolutionary base in the countryside of China, which was founded by Mao Zedong in October 1927 when he led the Autumn Harvest Uprising troops into Jinggangshan. In February 1938, the Hunan-Jiangxi guerrillas were reorganized into the New Fourth Army to participate in the Anti-Japanese War. Yanling County experienced two magnificent waves: the Jinggangshan Revolutionary base and the Hunan-Jiangxi Revolutionary base. During the struggle, tens of thousands of slogans were left behind.

　　The remaining 339 slogans are distributed in 12 Township farms in Yanling. They are written by 18 units, including the First Division of the First Army of the Workers and Peasants'Revolutionary Army, the Fourth Army of the Workers and Peasants' Red Army, the Hexi Command of the Red Army, the Independent First Division of the Hunan-Jiangxi Red Army, the Independent Fourth Regiment of the Hunan-Jiangxi Red Army, and the Fifth Army of the Third Army of the Workers and Peasants The Fifth Army of the red army reached 55 (Group) and 46 (Group) respectively.

　　It is an important protective measure taken by Yanling to remove the exposed slogans of the Red Army.

　　In 2002, Yanling invited experts from the Institute of Chinese Heritage to study the protection of slogans. Under the guidance of experts, the county cultural administration department successfully applied the protection technology of Dunhuang murals to the protection of Red Army slogans for the first time in the country.

　　At the same time, the State Administration of Cultural Relics has allocated two special funds to support the rescue of Yanling to uncover the Red Army slogans, so that 234 items (groups) of the Red Army slogans which are always exposed in the wind and sunshine and the attachments are damaged can be uncovered and protected in time. As of 2011, there were 234 collection of slogans (Group) and 105 Local Protection (Group).
